Elite, www.elitebicycles.com

During his four-year professional triathlon career, Elite owner David Greenfield felt top-level cyclists needed a viable alternative to the mass produced, off-the-peg frame sizes and tubing offered by the major bicycle companies. He challenged himself to build affordable bicycles with custom sizes using the absolute highest grade aluminum tubing at prices competitive to standardized bikes being sold to top-level athletes in both the pro and amateur ranks.

Crafted in the USA from American-made parts, Elite uses Easton Ultra-Light and Easton Scandium tubing, as well as U.S. made Edge Composites carbon -- the highest rated lightweight aluminum in the world. Each frame's airfoil design is also wind-tunnel tested to ensure optimal performance. Complete bike packages are built using only the highest quality components. In addition to building custom fit bikes for athletes looking for an edge, a full range of standard-sized frames featuring the same design elements are also available at dealers worldwide,

Elite riders share a common bond of appreciation for their bikes, and Elite prides itself on maintaining close relationships with its growing family of riders. Elite actively seeks feedback from its customers and is excited by and shares in each individual's personal accomplishments -- often as they happen, as the crew is present to support the athletes at many of the important races around the world.

Elite is proud to be the bike of choice for many professional athletes, including ITU World Cup Champions, Ironman Champions, top ten Olympians, and Duathlon World Champions. Each of our athletes ride Elite bicycles not because they are paid to (Elite does not provide free equipment), but because they believe Elite gives them a critical edge they need to win.

By bringing together top frame designs, materials, welders, painters, and components, Elite builds bicycles that deliver maximum performance and value for every customer -- from professional athlete to weekend warrior.

Despite an impressive line of over 140 different bike models, Felt's motto is a simple one. To design, develop, and deliver the best bicycles in the world. Period.

Felt is named for inventor, former motorcycle mechanic, age group triathlete, and livelong engineer, Jim Felt. Felt worked as a mechanic for Hondo, Yamaha, Suzuki and Kawasaki until he began building time-trial frames for moto-cross champion Johnny "The O-Show" O'Mara to stay fit during the off-season. His reputation spread through Southern California like wildfire and soon he was building frames for Ironman triathletes, including Paula Newby-Fraser and Wolfgang Dittrich, mountain bike champions John Tomac and road racer Chris Horner.

Today, Felt has grown into a global brand represented in 27 different countries with Road, Triathlon/TT, BMX, Commuter and Urban bike lines. They continue to utilize feedback from their professional athletes, including Olympic gold medal triathletes, Ironman champions, and Pro Tour Garmin Slipstream cyclists to produce aerodynamic and lightweight bicycles.

We believe a bicycle is more than a piece of equipment.

It is the ultimate interface between man and the road, one that should feel like a natural extension of your body. That's why we custom craft every frame we make based on individual rider specifications. From carbon layup and metal welding to final clear coat, we do it all ourselves in our ultra-modern facility based in Montreal, Canada. That allows us to sweat every detail with one goal in mind: to make you the perfect bike. The one that will unleash your full potential on two wheels.

For us, custom is not an exercise in vanity or luxury – it's all about precision serving performance. Contrary to other custom builders, we go way beyond made-to-measure geometry to produce some of the most technologically advanced bicycles in the entire industry. Our composites program, in particular, pushes the boundaries of custom manufacturing: F.E.A.-tested, seamless frame designs that take full advantage of carbon fiber's tensile properties… an in-house carbon lay-up methodology that allows us to pin-point the location and direction of the material… a proprietary molding process that uses internal pressurization to generate singular, monocoque parts with an exceptional fiber-to-resin ratio…the list of homegrown innovations goes on. It's all rigorously engineered, based on aerospace standards, to deliver the purest, most powerful ride you have ever experienced.

Ultimately, our promise is simple: we'll craft you a singular bike that will extract from you the very best cycling performance. You don't have to take our word for it; just ask someone who owns a Guru.

LOOK, www.lookcycle-usa.com

LOOK began manufacturing carbon fiber bicycles over twenty-six years ago. Over that time, they have learned the intricate details of exactly how to maximize the benefits of carbon manufacturing.

Twenty-three years ago Greg Lemond won his first Tour de France aboard a LOOK carbon frame and LOOK clipless pedals. Ever since, the brand has been known in the US for it's unrelenting pursuit of perfection.

Spooky, www.spookybikes.com

These guys have been producing eye candy in the cycling industry for many years as we found out at Interbike last year. Whenever the Spooky employees let us use their bike as a demo, our booth audience always increased and there was no shortage of comments like "that was the first 'cross bike I ever wanted". Check 'em out at the link above.
